The legal and ethical boundary for strategic intelligence, economic intelligence and third-party risk services.Permitted work
Lawful open-source research, client-authorised document review, source evaluation, market and country analysis, public sanctions and corporate-register checks, risk modelling and decision support.
Prohibited work
No hacking, unlawful access, interception, covert surveillance, impersonation, bribery, pretexting, purchase of stolen data, unlawful tracking or representation as police or government intelligence.
Evidence standard
Material findings should record source, retrieval date, corroboration, confidence, limitations and review status. Allegations are not presented as facts without adequate support.
Human review and contestability
Sensitive conclusions require authorised human review. Where appropriate, affected clients can provide corrections or additional evidence before a final decision.
Specialist boundaries
Our work does not replace legal advice, statutory audit, police investigation, regulated investment advice or a reporting entity’s AML/KYC obligations.
